Examination

Organization

  • The examination will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2020 from 08:00 to 13:00. You will use the online tools Canvas and Respondus. No document will be allowed. Always check the official calender for last minute changes: timeedit.
  • You must register to the examination as you do for the other examinations.
  • The examination will consist of two parts:
    1. Examination questions, where the candidate will have to explain or define terms relevant to the course. .
    2. In the second part, you will have to reimplement a natural language processing system from a scientific article. This will include programming, where the candidate will use Python or a java-like algorithmic language.

Reading list

The reading list comprises the parts of the textbook and the slides we have reviewed during the course. As a general rule, all the Prolog code is excluded from the reading list. The slides more or less summarize the textbook. They are available here: https://github.com/pnugues/ilppp/tree/master/slides I used the second edition of the textbook, Language Processing with Perl and Prolog. I no longer refer to the first edition.
