Design of Embedded Systems Advanced Course - HT2012

News

• 2012-11-02: I have now compiled the results of the votes for the best projects, and it turns out that the first three are in order: Tetris2Players, SoundEffects, and Tetris (with MIDIMonster close in 4th). The full results can be found here. I am currently on a business trip, and return on Nov 9 - I will distribute the prizes starting then.
• 2012-10-19: The presentation today is, according to the schedule, in E:A. This year we will reward the first three teams (according to the form every one of you will fill in hopefully) with our older Nexys2 boards.
• 2012-10-16: For the presentation on Friday, the 19th, every group will have 10 minutes for presentation (or we will not finish during the 2 hours). Please try to be present, since you will evaluate your colleagues results (presentation and demo). If you intend to use my laptop (recommended) for presentation, please send me your presentations the day before! (pdf) Fiddling around with USB sticks during the lecture will only eat from your own presentation time. I will require all your presentations by the end of the course anyway... Good luck on these last few days!
• 2012-10-02: The slides for all the previous lectures are now available online. Note also that there will be no lecture next week, on the 9th of October -- work on your projects instead!
• 2012-09-10: For tomorrow's presentation (of the proposals), a laptop will be available, but you can also use your own laptops if you want to. If you choose to use our machine, please send me your presentations (.pdf, preferably) at least 1h before the lecture (no later than 14:15). Note that I would like to have the presentation files from ALL groups at some point. 
• 2012-08-31: The labs will be equipped with both the machines and software you will require in the course by Monday. I have tested the installation and all seems to work reasonably well. (Windows 7 and ISE 14.2).
• 2012-08-22: The course pages are updated, but the Neptunus and Saturnus lab rooms are currently being upgraded - Neither the machines nor the software are yet available! I hope these will be completed in time for the course week.
• 2012-08-21: Started working on the pages for HT 2012. Be patient, it's going to take some time.
