Haskell is a functional language that will be used ocationally to define semantic functions in the course.  You should be able to understand such definitions, but ou will not be required to write Haskell functions at the exam.

One topic in the course is Lambda calculus. You will understand better why this is important if you are somewhat familiar with a well designed functional language.
