Septemper 2009 update

• Meetings have been held with SoftHouse, ABB and Sony Ericsson to identify joint interests to formulate the research area for the new PhD student at BTH. It was decided to focus the research on agility and in particular working with agile methods in distributed development.
• Alma Orucevic-Alagic has updated the article on the transformation from proprietary to open source based on reviewer comments.
• A case study on Symbian has started with Alma Orucevic-Alagic, Martin Höst, and Sony Ericsson.
• Planned activities:
• A meeting is scheduled at Sony Ericsson on September 25 to follow-up on the discussions on the research of the three PhD students involved in theme C. The PhD students are: Alma Orucevic-Alagic, LU, Sebastian Barney, BTH, and Samireh Jalali, BTH.
• Meetings will will be held with both SoftHouse and ABB to ensure that their interests are taken into account. This concerns in particular the research work of Samireh Jalali.
