IMPORTANT! I sincerely expect that the following reminder is not necessary: the department has defined a policy against plagiarism of any kind, in particular in case of the course work. You may find it following these links: Samarbete eller fusk (in Swedish) and Cooperation or Plagiarism (in English).
The lectures will be given via Zoom only, until new recommendations arrive. Sorry.
If you can abstain from showing up in the lecture hall, I would very much appreciate that. We are some at most 240 people planned for a 210-places-lecture-hall (E:A). We have to avoid crowding and the simplest way is that you stay home and connect via Zoom. If there is anything you need to take up with me in person, then please come, otherwise PLEASE stay away from the lecture hall. I will record this first meeting, so you will be able to access it even outside the lecture time, if needed. THANK YOU. There are good chances that the later lectures will be given ONLY electronically, as we cannot guarantee avoiding crowding. Stay tuned!
17.1.2022: Zoom-link to the lectures: lu-se.zoom.us/j/62896094509
Remember that you need to be logged into zoom from the lu.se domain (as a student or employee) to join!
10.1.2022 Given today's government recommendations it is almost sure that the lectures will be given at least in hybrid mode (zoom + lecture hall). Stay tuned.
2022, TEXTBOOK: A new (4th) edition of our textbook "Artificial Intelligence, A Modern Approach", by Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig, is finally out. ISBN-13 978-1-292-40113-3, or ISBN-101-292-40113-3. Consider buying it. The exam used to be "open book" but without any electronic equipment (inclusive e-readers), so it might be worth an investment. Besides, the book is really good.
2022, NEWS: Even though the bookings in the schema say "Zoom + some lecture hall" it is not clear right now whether the lectures will be given electronically, IRL, or both. It depends on the pandemic recommendations. At this moment (9.12.2021) the recommendation is to hold them live in the lecture hall.
9.12.2021: PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WEB SITE REFERS TO PREVIOUS OFFERINGS OF THE COURSE, UP TO 2021. IT PROVIDES THE UP-TO-DATE GENERIC INFORMATION, INCLUDING SYLLABUS, BUT THE DAY-TO-DAY INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CANVAS SYSTEM.
The advanced course EDAP01, Artificial Intelligence (2020 VT1), is a successor of an earlier course EDAF70, Applied Artificial Intelligence (given last time 2019 VT1). In case of questions, please contact the course responsible teacher: Jacek Malec.
