EDAN50 - Intelligent Systems

This page is intended to contain new information related to the course. I assume you will be checking its contents, so no other means of reaching you will be implemented.

The reports should preferably be formatted according to the IEEE conference requirements (LaTeX style files, LaTeX README document, sample Word document, Word template). 4 to 8 pages will be OK. More than 10 may be rejected without reading:-)

The deadline for filing in your reports is Sunday, June 8th, 2014, 23:59CET. The grading will be done during week 24 (or possibly earlier, if we get your report earlier.) Please send your report both to your supervisor and to Jacek.

The final seminar will be held on Friday, May 23rd, 13.15-16.00 in E:2116.

A Lund University PowerPoint presentation template is available. In case there is a demand, Jacek will make available the beamer (LaTeX presentation) LU style as well.

In case of any questions please contact Jacek Malec (responsible for the course) or any of the teachers.

The concept of the project course is based on the idea that you learn much during practical work on a project building upon knowledge from the area of intelligent systems (or any area, for that matter. But we want you to learn AI:-) The amount of work expected from a project group is 2 x 200 hours, so a substantial system might be created with this effort.

The evaluation criteria (roughly equal in weight): project performance, code (result), presentation, report. The grade scale is TH (= U, 3, 4, 5).

The topics will be presented during the first meeting, on Monday March 17th. There will be opportunity to choose a project of your own, given the approval from a potential supervisor.
