Projects in Compilers and Program Analysis

The information below is for compilers and software tools projects, for lp1/lp2 2021 and lp3/lp4 2022. If you are doing a project in another area, check with your supervisor to see if this info is relevant to you as well.

In this course you implement a compiler-related tool or work on a similarly software technology-related project. The work is research-oriented: You will read related articles, do an evaluation of your tool, write up the results, and present them to your course mates. Your code will be open sourced under the BSD licence.

  • Prerequisites for doing a compiler project: The lab/assignments in EDAN65 (Compilers).
  • Prerequisites for doing a program analysis-related project: The labs/assignments in EDAP15.
  • Prerequisites for other software technology related projects may be lower, see here for relevant projects.

You will have a supervisor that you discuss the progress with each week.

Each of the projects is designed so that you can quickly get started, and with possibilities for going further in several different directions.

You can work alone or with a partner.
