Matthias Mayr
I started my PhD after studying Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). My position is funded by the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) with a focus on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and explainable Artificial Intelligence where I am also a member of the PhD student council.
More concretely we are working with robot arms in the context of industrial assembly tasks and use machine learning techniques such as reinforcement learning to learn efficient, robust and explainable policies.
Teaching
I assist teaching in the following courses:
Robots
Our iiwa arms as they are currently mounted in the Robotlab.
